The differences between the 2 that i found was in Front page you had to start with a blank page. This also took a lot longer to construct because you physically had to go in and add any tables and place them where you wanted them. Adjust cell spacing, padding etc. Add pictures, text and links to other pages and create each new page to your web site. This is why for building a web site in Front page, it is a good idea to have a storyboard done before hand so you know exactly where everything goes and get an idea of what its going to look like.
Using the web 2.0 site i was able to complete my site 1,2,3. I was done in half the time it took me to build it in Front page. I was just able to go in and pick a template that already had the design built for you. I looked for the template that fit the best with my storyboard. The templates were fairly close but something might of been located a little different then from the initial story board. After that just pretty much click on the area i wanted to have something and copy what ever it was i wanted there. And it created the other pages of the site within a second. I notice the one thing that was different was in Web 2.0 you could add a photo gallery in a matter of just uploading the photos and as many as you wanted.
The only adjustments that i had to make on the Web 2.0 was my header was left aligned and my buttons were righted aligned beside the header. But pretty much everything else was were it was placed on my storyboard. And there was a few things added on like your email address and a copy of the header underneath. The only problem i had and still can't fix it is the header for each page. Everytime i change the header for one page, all the pages have that exact header, instead of the header i created for that page. I had fun.

What i have learned in class
I learned how to create a basic website. Learning the CRAP principles about a website or an ad makes me view them now a lot differently.
Now i can actually design a site about my family that way my friends and family who no longer live around here can go in an read all about my them and watch them grow up. The one thing i really enjoyed was using the photo shop. When it comes to computers i usually run to my brother and nephew and they always tell me that their going to get me the book, computers for dummies.lol. But anyway learning photo shop was something i always wanted to do. i have millions of photos laying around and I'm actually able to go in and have some fun with some of them. And that will make it all the more memorable in years to come. There was a lot more i wanted to do with my sight but taking two classes was a challenge, so i just made it simple.

My website
My wesite is about Las Vegas. I went their twice. I really want to give people who's never been there a little taste of what that reality is all about. I will be using my own photos that i took in Vegas. I will be using Frontpage in the class and if i don't finish i'm able to finish it at home because i do have Frontpage on my computer.
The purpose of storyboards
The purpose of a storyboard lets you lay your website out on paper first. Allowing you to mark where your tables are going to be, how pictures are going to be placed. Where the text is to be placed. so this way when you go into a web designing program you're not flustered thinking about how to place everything and not sure how it's going to turn out. Storyboards lay out everything and gives you an idea of what it will look like. Taking and applying things one step at a time and making sure you don't forget anything. This will help me in making a web site instead of trying to put one together off the top of my head and in the end getting no result because i would be confused and frustrated.
Chapters 13-15
Chapter 13- Basically everything all comes together. It talks about tables and how you can slice graphics and then take the pieces and put them into different cells of a table for a more sopisticated look. Using richer color in your photos and using easy to read small type. If you have a large graphic on a page that will take a while to download, how you can create a lower quality image to load first. Gives you quick photoshop tips to enhance your website. How to create forms and how to activate your forms. And talks about after becoming familiar with basic web page design, how you can step it up and add animation.
Chapter 14- Talks about how you got to make sure you put everything for your website in the website folder before you put them on the html page. After you linked everything make sure you do not move or rename anything. In case you have a problem you know exactly where everythings at. And thats where site management software comes in. Most web authoring package has some sort of site management features. Also talks about how to test your site and the different problems that could occur.
Chapter 15- Basically talks about getting all your files together and naming them properly and putting them in the right spot in your web folder. Uploading the files and how to test your site online.

wk 4 diigo-website design
The first website was basically just a recap from what we learned in the html lab. Writing html to change the text, background, or even how to put graphics in, etc.
Yes anyone with a computer can create a website but the key is just keeping it simple and to the point. You want to be able to guide the visitors attention throughout your site. Making sure to design the page and the stuff you place on a page easy to use. So nobody walks away feeling stupid or frustrated.
The biggest advantage to creating your own website is that you'll save yourself a lot of money and being able to go in and change things yourself when there's a problem rather then having to wait for whoever designed you're website to go in and fix it. There again more money. Some of the drawbacks really are if you're not familiar with what you're doing can really turn out to be a desaster.
The difference between usability and accessibility with regards to web design is that usability is designing to make the stuff on the page easier to use and accessibility is how well everything is displayed. Is it easy to find something? These are both important factors in developing a good website. You don't want people to go to your page and not being able to find their way around they'll leave feeling confused and frustrated.

Chapters 3&4
Some of the material that i read about was a recap from what we had gone over in class, when we were working on the sample website we got in class. The first thing you need to remember when starting a website is make and name a folder to store your website. Within this folder create subfolders for the images, text and so forth. This way when you need to go back and find something you know exactly where's it's located. Using web authoring software packages in creating a web page is as easy as making a word processing page. It lets you change the text, change the color of text even the background of the page. Creating links to different pages within your site or even a link to a different site or even e-mail link. Being able to add graphics and columns and the difference between absolute vs. relative table widths. It doesn't matter what computer you have or anyone else has, they can all read html. Learned what a browser does. If you want your web site posted to the web, you have to find someone with a server to host your site. Sometimes you have to pay money sometimes not.
